What does this word mean?.....
Is it real or just some sort of funding-speak which seems to have petered out ?...
For us at
To start something now, without considering how or why it will be around tomorrow seems to belittle the idea in the first place.
To work in a community without involving the community in all aspects of the work seems to smack of bigotry and arrogance.
To buy stuff without concerning ones self with the wider consequences of buying the stuff, is so short term that only a fool would do it and misses the beauty (or otherwise) of the story of the product. And we all like a good story!

To be closed and dishonest about what one does and how one does it seems to miss the point of living in an environment in which others live too.
I could go on (and have been known to!) but hopefully you get the point. We aim to develop livelihood strategies which empower us and those involved with us and have a home, street, town, country and world which is nurtured and grows because of us and all that we do.
